Julie has been creating a diverse body of work, photographing on five of the world’s seven continents. Her assignments have included food & travel imagery for food & lifestyle magazines & celebrity portraits for editorials, ad campaigns & product endorsements in the entertainment industry. In addition, her personal projects have supported philanthropic causes in Africa and Croatia.

For the past two years Julie has expanded her horizons with a quest to document the sustainable & progressive foods movement in America. From east to west, from north to south, Julie has been photographing the innovative professionals who are making a difference in the food supply & expanding boundaries for a healthier system. Her subjects are farmers & agro-ecologists, winemakers & beekeepers, butchers & bakers, specialty grocers & scientists, manufacturers & distributors, chefs & purveyors that value locally sourced, nutritious foods.

Whether  photographing the making of handcrafted bread from rare Kernza flour, a bio-dynamic vineyard, Native American hybrid dishes, an urban bartender foraging natural ingredients for unique drinks or a close-up look at the lives of earthworms with a Nevada composter, Julie is capturing the patchwork quilt of our current agricultural landscape.
